Hi Team,
Hope this email finds you well! Dean shot a few videos to help take our teaching game to the next level. Please take the time to watch the videos and incorporate techniques / tips into your CORE40 classes.
Video 1: Set up the class for Success

Highlights:
- Make eye contact with every client
- Start with easier move
- Set the pace/tempo
- Identify who needs more help
- Set the Vibe
Video 2: Optimal way to add in holds/pulses/variations (minimum 30 seconds variations)

Highlights:
- Choose intentionally where to place them in your routine
- Don’t develop a predictable pattern
- MINIMUM of 30 seconds, and minimum of 30 seconds IF you return to your full range of motion
- You don’t have to return to full range of motion
Video 3: Counting of the tempo/pacing
Link - https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/6qjcmy6vfc7w3yhd0fett/10.-Minimum-12-Second-Reps.mp4?rlkey=d3jckowht8s72t7pfy47q8e2d&st=mtyw6c77&dl=0 <https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/6qjcmy6vfc7w3yhd0fett/10.-Minimum-12-Second-Reps.mp4?rlkey=d3jckowht8s72t7pfy47q8e2d&st=mtyw6c77&dl=0>
Highlights:
- A minimum of 12 seconds for every repetition. Dean uses 16 seconds for legs and 12 seconds for everything else.
- This translates to 6-seconds count each direction
- This is minimum; ideally you would be increasing over time to 8 seconds
- Please count the pacing/tempo for all the moves. Counting the pacing/tempo of the moves is an effective way to increase the intensity of class. It is one of the 8 principles of the Lagree Fitness Method.
- Please count on the beat so your classes are rhythmic.
- We need to SLOW down the pacing of the moves so we can continue to give the most challenging workouts, and distinguish ourselves from all the competitors.
Video 4: Final Move (Last move of class)
Link: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/esdn5ou9wqh3jnyd7owdl/12.-Final-Move.mp4?rlkey=qadwd4hoi0vhn4qkzko9q51d0&st=ek0uwrxv&dl=0 <https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/esdn5ou9wqh3jnyd7owdl/12.-Final-Move.mp4?rlkey=qadwd4hoi0vhn4qkzko9q51d0&st=ek0uwrxv&dl=0>
Highlights:
- Make it challenging - not a drop in intensity
- Give a maximum of two options, or one with a modification
- Too much choice creates uncertainty and leave newer clients lost
Please reach out to Dean or myself if you have questions regarding the videos. We are here to support you!
Best,
Mabel
